Mudhalvan is a Tamil inscription Indian federal thriller flick penned, presented and steered by S. Shankar. The film emphasises Arjun Sarja, Manisha Koirala and Raghuvaran in the principal roles with Manivannan, Vijayakumar and Hanifa depicting other notable roles. The film starred an award-winning soundtrack scored by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by K. V. Anand and dialogues by Sujatha.
The film twirls around an energetic TV journalist, Pughazhendi, who talks the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Pughazhendi asks the dense questions, the Minister begins shivering and asks him to put his money where his mike is, and become the state CM for a day. After using up a few lifelines mentally, he accepts and does such a great job on his first day, that the voters ultimately elect him to be their constant leader. The consequent unpopularity and envy that the Chief Minister goes through results in him taking revenge on Pugazhendi, and how he is settled forms the crux of the narrative.
